a little about andrea…
Andrea is a designer and maker for brides and those looking for bespoke keepsake gifts. She hand-crafts one-of-a-kind clutches, including her signature heirloom bridal clutches made from old family fabrics like a mother’s old wedding dress, and other sentimental keepsakes that are sure to be treasured and even the start of a heartfelt tradition.
Andrea has proudly served sentimental women and brides who value quality, details, and family since 2005. After spending day in and day out sewing various kinds of purses from clutches to totes, in 2010, she found her sweet spot - creating custom clutches for brides to coordinate with their wedding gowns and after being commissioned by a friend to make a clutch from her mother’s antique wedding dress in 2012, the coveted “heirloom” clutch was born and her love for making something old, new again flourished.
She has also launched a collection of customizable gifts for weddings and other occasions, which celebrate the joy of unique gift giving that her clients had treasured and hold dear to their hearts.
With a sincere passion for hand-stitching and working with luxurious fabrics, Andrea also has a keen eye for design. She graduated with a Bachelors of Fine Art in Graphic Design, where she had the pleasure of interning and working with high quality companies like Sony, J.Crew and her design role model, Kate Spade. A few years later, after volunteering at a hospital, Andrea went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and works full-time as a Regional Nurse Manager, where she gets to lead teams and help create a safe and pleasant environment for patients. She enjoys the balance of using her creativity and tactile skills outside of the hustle of the busy workdays.
On the home front, Andrea lives in New Jersey with her husband, Dave and their sweet 1-year-old son, Teddy! With her spare time, Andrea enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, coffee shops, and sharing special moments with her family and friends, especially her two nieces and misses her rescue pup shih-poo, Tara, every day. Her dream relaxing day would be spent in a cute little beach town (think Newport or Nantucket) sharing oysters and a bottle of red.
a little about love, amarie…
It all started in 2005, from a dining room table…
Andrea always had a love for textures and delicate fabrics and started purchasing different materials in NYC’s fabric district. The name “Amarie” was born by combining Andrea’s first and middle name, Marie. Her mother, Louise, who Love, Amarie’s signature style purse is a namesake, taught her how to sew (from scratch!) and bring to life the styles that are still used today. Love, Amarie was primarily was headquartered at Andrea’s parents’ dining room table, and for about three years, only packed up shop for Christmas dinners. She has since moved into an apartment in Hoboken, NJ where she continues to sew and design in a cozy workspace.
Love, Amarie’s mission is to tie together a love for family and heritage and hand-stitch the past to the present. Andrea, draws from her experience, and incorporates the love and bonds with her own parents and grandparents, throughout the essence of Love, Amarie by the gardenia flowers in the logo, which represents the floral bouquet her grandmother carried on her wedding day and lace patterns taken from her mother’s wedding dress.
Love, Amarie wants to encourage every bride to carry a piece of their heritage and heart with them on their most special day. Whether taking your grandmother’s lace or starting a new, modern tradition of your own, let Love, Amarie help you pass your story of love for future generations to cherish.
